Nicaragua

Nicaragua, the largest country in Central America, extends from the Pacific Ocean to the Caribbean Sea. Bordered by Honduras on the North and Costa Rica on the South, Nicaragua boasts a picturesque coastline and hundreds of miles of beautiful and unspoiled beaches.

Pristine beaches, world-class fishing and surfing, adventurous terrain and active volcanoes make it a premier location for romantic getaways, family vacations, eco-tourism and adventure seekers. The country enjoys year-round sunshine with temperatures averaging 81° F.

Beautiful sites include Bosawas Biosphere Reserve, Lake Nicaragua, the Masaya Volcano National Park, and Laguna de Apoyo. Neighboring cities Leon and Granada make for perfect day trips from Costa Paraíso.

Nicaragua is a part of the Central Time Zone and is a 2½ hour flight from Miami and a 3-hour flight from Houston. The entrance tax for visitors into Nicaragua is $5.00 and exit tax is $32.00. Most airlines include the exit tax in the cost of your ticket. Nicaragua has the least amount of crime in all of Central America.
